The Saints Of Western Russia from the epoch of Sergius of Radonezh

The peculiarity of historical and cultural development of Western Russia is caused by the long-term vicinity of conquering countries, such as Poland and Lithuania, and also by the influence of uniate aspiration os specific forces. Author uses the name of Western Russia for marking the habitation area of modern Belorussians’ ancestors and partly Galician-Volhynian Russia, i.e. modern Notrh-Western Ukraine. The direct narration heroes were the saints grown by the people of White Russia. These saints are correlated with the epoch of Sergius of Radonezh. Ethnically they were the representatives of both Russian and Lithuanian people. The article touches on the problem of choosing Lithuania its religion and its impact on the fate of Orthodox men of faith. The author considers minestering the truth and Church service coupled with true enlightenment to be essential feature of Western Russian sacredness.
