The article is dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, whose cult is still alive. The persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire by Emperor Maxentius left a mark in the form of conversion of many pagans, philosophers, and the empress to the faith in the One God. Analysis of the life of St. Catherine is based on sources.
