About the Journal
Elpis is a peer-reviewed international interdisciplinary journal of the Department of Orthodox Theology at the University of Białystok. The journal publishes scientific articles, as well as reviews of scientific articles on theology, history and culture. The purpose of the journal is to publish modern Orthodox theology and to disseminate the achievements of theologians, religious scholars, historians and philologists in the field of their research on Orthodoxy.
Elpis is a continuation of a journal edited by the Faculty of Orthodox Theology at the University of Warsaw, published in 1926-1939 under the same name. Since 1999, Elpis has been an annual of the Department of Orthodox Theology at the University of Białystok.

Journal Scoring
The Elpis is on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education list of indexed journals. According to the "List of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials of international conferences with the assigned number of points" of the Minister of Education and Science, it scored 40 points (theological sciences).
